Hello, I’m Louise and I’ve been the minister at United Church Sketty since September 2023 – I also have responsibility for Wesley Clydach and I’m on the faith team at Swansea University. This is my third experience of living and ministering in South Wales, and I am delighted to have been stationed in Swansea.
If I were to sum up my faith, it would simply be ‘God is love’. I believe that each and every person, all living things, are loved and cherished by God; and that somehow God’s love holds us through the difficult times, and in the challenges we encounter in life and in our complex, beautiful and suffering world. I passionately believe that no-one is out of reach of God’s love, that God loves everybody, and that God’s love extends far beyond the reaches and capacity of human love.
Our church isn’t perfect, but we do our best to reflect and live God’s love, and we hope that each person has a positive experience of our church community.
We would be delighted to welcome you to worship or our activities. We are also happy to talk to you about baptisms or thanksgiving services, weddings (included same-sex marriages), and funerals or thanksgiving services for loved ones, or other ways we might mark a special passage or occasion, or have a conversation about faith (and other things!).
